Luxurious Dubai penthouse sells for record-breaking $136.2mn

December 8, 2023

In a groundbreaking transaction, the Como Residences Penthouse, developed by Nakheel, has set unprecedented records, not only claiming the title of the most valuable property ever sold in Dubai but also securing its place as the third most expensive penthouse globally.

This extraordinary achievement unfolded with the sale of the Palm Jumeirah-based penthouse for an astounding $136.2 million (AED500 million), marking a historic pinnacle in Dubai's real estate landscape. The 21,949 square foot penthouse contributes to the Como Residences project's cumulative real estate transactions, pushing the project's total value beyond $500 million. Set to be completed in 2027, the penthouse, accessible via a private elevator, promises a lifestyle of unparalleled luxury for its residents.

The collaborative effort between Benjelloun Pipe Architecture and Nakheel, the 71-story building stands tall, symbolizing a fusion of architectural prowess and visionary real estate development.

Notably, the Como Residences Penthouse has not only made waves locally but has also etched its name on the global stage. Securing the third position among the world's most expensive penthouses, it follows the footsteps of Penthouse D at London's One Hyde Park ($237 million) and the Odeon Tower Penthouse in Monaco ($440 million).

This achievement comes shortly after the record-breaking sale of an apartment on the top floor of the Marsa Al Arab Hotel, which fetched $114 million (AED420 million) a few months ago.

Anticipating its completion, the Como Residences penthouse is set to redefine luxury living with its standout feature—an infinity pool encompassing the entire 360-degree perimeter. Residents will be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Dubai skyline, including iconic structures such as the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, along with the Dubai Marina area.

Dubai's luxury real estate market is currently experiencing a remarkable year, propelled by the influx of high-net-worth individuals relocating to the emirate and a growing interest from international investors. The record-breaking sale of the Como Residences Penthouse stands as a testament to the city's thriving real estate sector, reinforcing its status as a global hub for luxury living.
